The Friends’ Association was once again present at the summer festival organized by the handball division of TSG Bruchsal in collaboration with SV 62 Bruchsal. Together with the Friends’ Association for the city partnership with Sainte-Ménehould, we were able to expand the culinary offerings.
A relatively young whiskey tradition has taken root in Wales. Traditional distilleries in Scotland and Ireland still dominate the market. But in the shadow of these major competitors, a number of small, fine whiskey distilleries have managed to flourish. Three premium whiskey varieties from the renowned Penderyn Distillery were on offer. This high-quality single malt whiskey is produced in the southern foothills of Brecon Beacons National Park and is made from crystal-clear spring water—offering a distinctive and characterful flavor.
At the Cwmbrân booth, festival-goers were able to experience the quality of Welsh whiskey for themselves. Despite the very summery temperatures, curious guests were not deterred from indulging in this treat. The feedback was consistently positive.
(*) Brusl is the nickname for Bruchsal in our region’s dialect; Sommer = summer; dorscht means Durst = thirst
